ADULT ResPONDeNT

A young person has asked for your help to support their project? You'd like to use "Make it happen" to motivate and engage a young person in their own success?

Here's how you can use the "Make it happen" program:

1. INFORMATION

Get to know the objectives, the functioning, the types of projects and the qualification criteria. You will be able to answer any questions that a participant may have and you will be able to guide him or her in the construction of their project.

2. INSPIRATION

Go to the resources page. The items presented are there to help generate ideas and inspire potential participants to take action. You can use them to share and assist the participant(s) in their thinking. The tools presented are optional.

3. YOUR ROLE

Your role is to guide without giving answers, to direct without taking by the hand. Your role will be to accompany the young person, from his or her reflection to the submission of his or her final project, including its realization if ever selected at the end of the lottery.

4. ACTION PLAN

If the project is selected in the lottery, you will need to assist the participant in planning the project. To do this, we have prepared a tool on the Toolbox page to help you build a simple action plan. You will also have to accompany the young person during the presentation of his or her project to the advisory committee and to a mentor.

5. IN ACTION

Following the approval of the action plan, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper use of funds ($) as well as the execution of the actions planned in the project. A mentor will also be involved to help you. It is therefore important to organize small follow-up meetings with the mentor on a regular basis to ensure that the project is on track.

6. REVIEW AND FEEDBACK

Once the project is completed, the participant will be required to present a report to the committee and the mentor in order to receive constructive feedback.
